Intorel have always been fully dedicated to its customers. We have carefully tailored our corporate policies to fulfill our customer’s requirements, regardless of how special or unique they might be.

Following this philosophy, Intorel entitled each and every customer subscribed to Visionic Standard or Enterprise service of maintenance to free consultation about the necessary hardware required to run the system. In addition, Intorel will to assist and/or carry out the process of purchasing all the equipment, at no additional cost.

Hardware provision is, however, available only in combination with the Visionic software and only to the customers who are holding the valid maintenance agreement.

The new list of hardware products is now available on Intorel website. For more information, please visit:  http://www.intorel.com/index.php?page=hardware-products

Intorel keeps pushing the limit

Monday, March 14th, 2011

Intorel is a world leading developer of technologically innovative solutions for the broadcast & satellite industry. Since 2002, Intorel’s solutions have been successfully implemented in: SES Group, Telenor, NATO, Telecom Austria, European Parliament, Deutche-Welle, Globecast, Orange, Cologne Broadcasting Center, Canal+, ChelloMedia / LibertyMedia, Al-Jazeera, Swedish Space Corp, Digiturk, ZeeTV, Monaco Telecom, Telekom Malaysia, MCL TRT and many other companies around the world. Its latest achievement is MONDVB.

MONDVB is a multi-purpose DVB solution for measuring, monitoring and controlling DVB signals and IP equipment. It autonomously monitors everything you send and receive, regarding your specific needs.

Core MONDVB functionality lays in stable and reliable measurement and logging of every aspect of DVB data flow, hence allowing the system engineers to observe, in full detail, all events related to DVB signal streaming. Consequently, MONDVB provides the engineering team with up-to-1-year history of events and possibility of detailed reporting based on parameters defined by system engineer.

MONDVB is fully functional on almost any DVB platform regardless of how different or special it is. It can be integrated with any DVB equipment using standard IP protocols. Moreover, MonDVB is fully compliant with any DVB standard.

MONDVB is built to address following issues:

  • Centralized access to every broadcasting facility and every aspect of DVB process
  • Real-time, automatic measuring, analyzing and reporting on every aspect of digital video broadcast
  • Summary and detailed statistics for data input and output.

The system is based on proven Visionic technology, well established in satellite and broadcast industry. Consequently, it inherits all its reliability and functionality.

The MONDVB customizable GUI is designed to be easy to use, and to assist a system engineer to achieve best results with minimal time and effort. It is up to system engineer to decide which channels and which parameters will be measured, when and how.

MONDVB has the capability to measure unlimited number of channels, satellites or transport streams. Each measurement is completely user-definable and can be changed during normal operation. Depending on the system, the measured items can be distributed among one or more equipment chains. The measurements are thus executed either serially in time (one after the other) on a single chain; or in parallel among connected equipment. The system engineer defines how (serial or parallel) and when each individual item will be measured.

For each defined measurement item, MONDVB can be instructed to monitor the warnings and alarms based on the thresholds. When system detects that the measured item is outside normal range, it will first report warning (in real time), and if the measured item continues degradation, system will report an alarm. For any parameter, it is possible to define a range of values within which the alarm should be raised. In addition, any alarm can be associated with particular level of severity, or can be ignored. All events are being logged, but also present on the MONDVB GUI, keeping an operator informed about problems as soon as they arrive.

The event and device measurements are stored within log files, up to one year, providing a full overview of events. The historical data can be consulted in any form of graphical representation (tables, charts, etc …) thanks to MONDVB analytical and reporting tools. The measured data can be exported for further analysis and accessed over the Internet, anytime.

MON DVB has already been successfully implemented in SES Group, Delta and Brabant TV.

Visionic online new upload

Monday, March 14th, 2011

The newest beta version you will easily spot by using Bureau Blue SL theme. Beside this minor tweak, there are other features in this release.

The first one is adding PageWidth and PageHeight properties to a page. These properties are used to measure / dimension the size of the dialog if the page is called as a device dialog page.

The second property that we added to the page is PageBackground. The PageBackground can be either a solid color, gradient or linear brush or image brush (not yet ironed out that one!). This gives more rich user experience and better presentation of the projects.

Finally the runtime has been updated (on the web site only!) to color code all wires and paths. The paths are now color-coded and we plan to add click-to-highlight-the-path functionality.
